HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE LEBANESE HIGH SCHOOL OFFCIAL EXAMS
You can register for general secondary diploma program from your home country and graduate from Lebanon.
Registration
- We at International Council will do all necessary steps to register you for attending the official exams.
- You are expected to visit Lebanon once before January to apply for the exam yourself accompanied with us, and then come again during next June to make your exams.
Who can make the exam
A- Any student who is 20 or more years old, holding the grade 9 class certificate; regardless of grade 10-11 and 12 classes.
The Lebanese system includes an opportunity to any adult student to apply for the official high school examinations if he/she is above 20 years old and holds the grade 9 certificate. They will not ask you about the academic classes between grade 9 and 12!!!
B- Any student regardless of age, that has passed the grade 11 in his country can apply also for the Lebanese official high school examinations.
TYPES OF HIGH SCHOOL
There are four types of programs in the Lebanese High school, where you would choose one of them that fits your ambitions and the major you are looking to enroll at university. (click each program to see contents and courses required)
a- Humanities: choose for literal specializations.
b- Economic and Social Sciences: choose for business related majors.
c- Life Science: choose for medical and health related majors.
d- General Sciences: choose for engineering and computer related majors.
You should apply for Lebanese high school before February of each year.
The exams are held once during June of each year and lasts for four to five days.
International Council will assist you apply for the exam, arrange your trip to Lebanon, book you a hotel, provide academic support and keep in touch with you during your stay.
